Dubrovin Gennady

     Gennady Dubrovin graduated from I.Y. Yakovlev Pedagogical University in Chuvashia with the specialization in art graphics. After military service Gennady began his professional activities as an artist and became the head of Aesthetics office at Cheboksary plant.
     In 1992, the artist joined the USSR Designers Union. He developed the original interiors for banks and restaurants, creating interior and exterior designs of office buildings. For services in this area Dubrovin was awarded a Laureate Diploma "Victoria" at the Russian National Exhibition, having won the contest "Design 2000" for the best work of the year. He was also engaged in the reconstruction of the interiors and exteriors of industrial facilities, one of which received the highest evaluation from the committee at the 11th Russian National Exhibition at "Design 2003" contest.
     In 2004 Dubrovin, together with a creative team, worked on the creation of stained glass window "National Emblem of Chuvashia" for the government of the Chuvash Republic. In 2010, the artist introduced a new trend in the development of aesthetic environment of settlements, having created "Vurnary" panel.
     The first exhibition, which presented works by Gennady, took place in 1976 and was called "Youth of Chuvashia." By now his paintings have been exhibited at the artist's 150 personal exhibitions of various scales from regional to international ones. Their high level was confirmed several times by significant awards – Diploma of Artists Union of Russia and the International Art Federation in 2010, by the Bronze medal in 2011, by the Diploma of the Ministry of Culture in 2011, by the Gold Medal in 2012, by Official acknowledgement of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation in 2012, by Silver Medal of the Republican Artists Association. Having evaluated the artist’s works, the Committee of the 2nd Interregional Exhibition of the Republican Artists Association "Red Gate", awarded his works in the genre of paintings with the second prize in the contest "Against the Stream".
     Gennady Dubrovin is a chairman of the Artists Union in the Chuvash Republic and the Artists Union of Moscow district at Odintsovo department. He is also a member of the Designers Union, Artists Union of Russia and a member of the International Art Federation.
