Abakumtseva Marfa

Marfa was born in Moscow in a family of artists in 1985.
She grew up in workshops of her grandfather (sculptor N.I. Abakumtsev, Honored Artist of Russia) and her mother (E.N. Abakumtseva, sculptor). From an early age she showed deep interest and talent for painting.
In 2003 she graduated Moscow's Academic Art Lyceum of the Russian Academy of Arts, pictorial art faculty.
In 2009 she graduated from the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, portrait art faculty.
She is a constant participant of projects "Art Today", "Ars Longa" and various creative exhibitions, seminars and field trips.
"My surrounding, which was closely interrelated with art, gave me no choice but to become an artist.
Life without creative arts seemed empty. An irresistible desire to create moves my whole being, and I dedicate most of my time to it. I look at the world as a big picture and think about how to paint it. "
Marfa is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia.
Her works are exhibited in private collections in Russia and abroad.
